Support One of These Houston Hotspots That Promote Impressive Beer Menus

It is difficult not to think of your favorite local businesses during this time. Just like you’re struggling without them – they are struggling to keep their doors open without your patronage. And, if you think about our struggles over the past seven months, there’s nothing like a freshly poured, cold beer to take the edge off and help you to feel like you’re living in some version of your normal.

Luckily, Houston has plenty of breweries, bars, and watering holes that will allow you to quench your thirst in a socially distant manner. Here are 3 of our favorites that are currently open for business:

The Flying Saucer – 705 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002

Once aliens finally land and make the simple request, “take me to your leader,” you’ll probably decide that you would rather show them a fun time, instead. The Flying Saucer is the perfect spot for terrestrial and extraterrestrial beings with its list of 200 cold beers, staunch pandemic precautions, and food menu, with bar favorites like soft pretzels, nachos, and loaded tots. Not only is The Flying Saucer keeping it safe AND delicious in 2020, but they’re also open daily for pick-up, delivery, and socially distanced dine-in.

Moon Tower Inn – 3004 Canal Street, Houston, TX 77003

Moon Tower Inn is a favorite among Houstonians, and not just for the 60+ taps that line the walls of this unique, industrial space. That’s right – Moon Tower Inn is also well-known for serving up wild game hot dogs. Load up on sausages, like a duck, elk, and wild boar, which can all be ordered to-go or for socially distanced din-in. And, don’t forget to top off your order with an ice-cold craft brew, or even some of Moon Tower’s very own beer that is made in-house using three-and-a-half barrel fermentation tanks.

Rudyard’s –2010 Waugh Drive, Houston, TX 77006

If you’re looking to support a Houston classic, there’s no better place than Rudyard’s in the Montrose. Along with its 80+ taps, former Pi Pizza founded and chef, Anthony Calleo, helms the kitchen at this Texas institution, which opened its doors in 1978. Luckily enough for you, his Detroit-style pizza creations pair perfectly with Rudyard’s continuously rotating selection of tap and bottled beer selections, making it the perfect spot to visit time and again for all your takeout or dine-in needs.
