Love all things pop culture? Join likeminded Houstonians at Comicpalooza! The festival comes to George R. Brown Convention Center this weekend and boasts tons of fun events, celebrity guests, and more. Grab a few friends and make a day of it this Sunday, May 12th, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Comicpalooza is Texas’ foremost pop culture festival, drawing fans of art, celebrities, comics, films, gaming, literature, and more. The show features panels, autograph and photograph sessions with celebrity guests, a literary festival, film festival, cosplay competitions, special attractions, entertainment, and gaming tournaments.
If you want to transform into a character from a movie, TV show, game, or book, do it! You’ll be in good company at Comicpalooza. Are you a gamer? The festival will have games for PCs and consoles, old arcade and new VR games, as well as tons of tabletop. How about shopping and entertainment? Comicpalooza boasts a marketplace filled with artists and dealers of popular collectibles, wearables, jewelry and more; as well as a convention center filled with performances all weekend long.
Celebrity guests will include Emilia Clarke and Nathalie Emmanuel from Game of Thrones, Gates McFadden and Michael Dorn from Star Trek, John Wesley Shipp and John Barrowman from The Flash, Billy Zane from The Phantom, Jeremy Davies, Andrew Divoff, and Mira Furlan from Lost, and more.
Shoppers and pop-culture lovers can enjoy the art and handcrafted goods from local and visiting artists in the Artist Alley and stroll through the Dealer’s Room to peruse comic books, collectibles, toys, clothing and other unique products.
